Terms of Service
These Terms are the agreement between you and Juillet Studios, provider of MyTimothy, for using the MyTimothy church communication platform.
Effective date: September 2026
1. Accepting these Terms
By creating a MyTimothy account, accepting an invitation to your church's MyTimothy, or using MyTimothy in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you use MyTimothy on behalf of a church, you confirm you are authorized to act for that church. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. About MyTimothy
MyTimothy is a church communication platform — prayer, a church Directory, care coordination, serving schedules, groups, messages, a church calendar, worship planning, livestream embedding, missions, and optional online Giving and Live Prayer. MyTimothy is organized church by church: your church decides who is invited, who leads, and which optional features are turned on. MyTimothy is provided by Juillet Studios.
3. Church accounts and administrators
- A church's MyTimothy account is managed by that church's administrators.
- Administrators are responsible for inviting and removing members, assigning roles and ministry permissions, and keeping the church's information accurate.
- Each person should use their own account, and sign-in details should be safeguarded.
- MyTimothy does not make your church's internal leadership decisions and is not responsible for them.
4. Member accounts
Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what you do with your account. Members can see only their own church's information in MyTimothy.
5. Age and minors
- MyTimothy accounts are for users age 13 and older. Children under 13 may not create or independently use a MyTimothy account.
- Users ages 13–17 may use MyTimothy with appropriate parent or legal guardian authorization.
- MyTimothy does not currently operate a technical parental-consent verification system. Obtaining parent or guardian authorization is the responsibility of the young user's parent or guardian and the church.
- Household and church records may include information concerning minors where it is appropriately entered and managed by authorized users and the church, under the privacy controls described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscription and billing
- MyTimothy is offered to churches by subscription: $59.95 per month or $599 per year (US dollars). One subscription covers the whole platform for the whole church — there are no per-member charges, and MyTimothy never takes a percentage of donations.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until canceled.
- Payments are processed through Stripe. MyTimothy does not see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
- Each church designates a billing contact (an email address) to receive invoices and payment notices. This is a contact point only — it does not grant access to church information.
- Prices shown for subscriptions are exclusive of applicable taxes. Taxes that MyTimothy is legally required to collect may be added to the amount charged.
- If we change subscription prices, we will give churches at least 30 days' advance notice before the change takes effect, sent to the church's billing or administrative contact.
7. Canceling your church's subscription
- A church administrator can cancel at any time from the church's Billing page.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the currently paid period. Your church keeps full access until then.
- Canceling never deletes your church's data. After a church permanently cancels, MyTimothy retains the church's data for 90 days. After that 90-day period, non-required church data may be permanently deleted. Financial, transaction, audit, security, and other records that legitimately must be retained may be kept according to applicable retention requirements.
- After a subscription ends, a church is welcome to subscribe again at any time.
8. Subscription refunds
Payments for the church software subscription are generally non-refundable. Juillet Studios may issue a refund or credit case-by-case at its discretion when appropriate. This section is only about the software subscription a church pays to MyTimothy — it has nothing to do with donations church members make to their church (see Section 9).
9. Giving (optional church feature)
- Online Giving is optional and is set up by each church. When enabled, church members may donate to their church through MyTimothy.
- Each church connects its own payment account. Donations go directly to the church; MyTimothy provides the technology and is never the recipient or owner of donated funds.
- MyTimothy charges churches and donors no fee or percentage on donations.
- Whether any gift is tax-deductible depends on the church and applicable law. MyTimothy makes no promise about tax deductibility.
- Each church is responsible for its own funds, designations, receipts, year-end statements, and its charitable and tax obligations.
- Donation refunds and chargebacks are handled between the donor, the church, and the church's payment processor — completely separately from subscription billing.
- Subscription billing and Giving are separate systems with separate records. A subscription cancellation or refund never affects donation records, and vice versa.
10. Live Prayer (optional church feature)
If a church enables it, Live Prayer connects a church member with an authorized prayer volunteer from that same church for a private live video prayer session.
- Live Prayer is a church prayer ministry. It is not counseling, medical or mental-health care, legal or financial advice, or an emergency or crisis-response service — and it is not a substitute for any of them. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.
- MyTimothy does not record, transcribe, summarize, or store Live Prayer sessions or their conversations. The live video is provided by a third-party meeting service and is processed under that provider's terms.
- A Live Prayer conversation is never automatically turned into a Prayer Request or a care record.
- Prayer volunteers are church members authorized by their church; they are not professionals, and MyTimothy does not select, train, or supervise them.
11. MyBarnabas — Care (optional church feature)
If a church enables it, MyBarnabas helps the church's care ministry coordinate care follow-up — such as prayer calls, visits, and meals — requested by members who explicitly ask for care.
- MyBarnabas is a church ministry coordination tool. It is not medical care, professional counseling, mental-health treatment, or emergency services — and it is not a substitute for any of them. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency service.
- Care records and internal coordination notes are private. They are visible only to the church's authorized care workers and administrators, never to other members.
- Churches are responsible for how they operate their care ministry and for selecting, authorizing, and supervising their care workers.
12. Church and user content
- You and your church keep ownership of the content you put into MyTimothy — messages, images, documents, worship songs and charts, and anything else you upload.
- By uploading content, you give MyTimothy the limited permission it needs to host, store, display, and process that content in order to provide the service. That is the only reason we use it.
- You are responsible for having the rights to content you upload (for example, copyrighted worship music or charts) and for what you post.
- MyTimothy does not claim ownership of your church's content just because it is stored in MyTimothy.
13. Church responsibilities and MyTimothy responsibilities
Each participating church is responsible for its own decisions and practices in MyTimothy, including:
- approving members and assigning roles and ministry permissions
- the accuracy and use of its Directory, household, and member information
- moderating and approving prayer requests and messages
- operating its care ministry and authorizing care workers
- the mission content it publishes
- the materials and images it uploads
- the Church Resource links it configures
- setting up its Giving funds and designations
- authorizing volunteers and staffing Live Prayer
- how its authorized personnel handle member information
MyTimothy (provided by Juillet Studios) is responsible for the technology: hosting the service, keeping churches' information separated church by church, enforcing access controls on our servers, maintaining the account-deletion process, and billing for the platform. MyTimothy is not responsible for churches' content, moderation decisions, ministry practices, or the external websites churches link to.
14. Church Resources (external links)
Church Resources are external website links that your church's administrators choose and configure (up to three). MyTimothy does not prescribe which links a church offers. These links lead to third-party websites that are outside MyTimothy, are not run by MyTimothy, and may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
15. Acceptable use
You may not use MyTimothy to:
- break the law or encourage anyone else to break the law
- harass, threaten, defame, or abuse anyone
- post content you don't have the right to use
- try to access accounts, churches, or data that aren't yours
- interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what information MyTimothy collects and how it is handled, including how you can delete your account. It is part of how we run the service described in these Terms.
17. Third-party services
MyTimothy relies on third-party service providers — for example: Base44 (hosting, sign-in, email), Stripe and Stripe Connect (payment processing), MyTimothyPrayer and Whereby (Live Prayer), Google (optional sign-in and website fonts), YouTube (livestream embedding), and Apple and Google push services (mobile notifications). These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and MyTimothy does not control them.
18. Service availability
MyTimothy is an internet service. Interruptions, maintenance, and outages — including outages of third-party providers — can happen. We work to keep the service available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and these Terms do not promise a specific uptime guarantee.
19. Suspension and termination
- Nonpayment: if a church's payment fails, we will give the church a 14-day grace period, with written or email notice to the church's billing or administrative contact, and an opportunity to resolve the payment before access is suspended.
- Ordinary violations of these Terms: where reasonably possible, we will give reasonable written notice and a reasonable opportunity to fix the issue before restricting access.
- Serious situations: we may immediately suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary for serious situations — such as security threats, fraud, illegal activity, immediate safety concerns, or materially abusive use.
- After a church's service is terminated, the data-retention policy in Section 7 applies.
- Members may delete their own accounts at any time (Section 20).
20. Data retention and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Support Center or your account menu) or at mytimothy.com/delete-account. The deletion process asks you to read what will happen, type DELETE as confirmation, sign in again to confirm it is you, and give a final confirmation. When your account is deleted:
- your personal operational records (for example, prayer requests you submitted, notifications, sign-ups, and your Directory profile) are deleted;
- your memberships, roles, and permissions are removed;
- your name is removed from member-visible displays (shown instead as a former member);
- any active recurring gifts you have are stopped first, so you are never charged again;
- records your church must keep — such as records of your gifts for tax purposes, church financial and safety records, and care coordination history — are retained for legitimate recordkeeping, but they are no longer linked to your account and cannot be used to access MyTimothy.
If you are the only administrator or the owner of a church, you will need to transfer that responsibility before you can delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel your church's subscription and does not delete your church's information.
21. Intellectual property
The MyTimothy software, design, and brand belong to Juillet Studios. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit the service except as allowed here. Your content remains yours (Section 12).
22. Disclaimers
MyTimothy is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will meet every need or be error-free. We aren't responsible for content posted by churches or users, or for decisions made based on information in the service. Churches are responsible for how they use the platform.
23. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juillet Studios and MyTimothy are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of the service. Our total liability for claims about the service is limited to the subscription fees paid to MyTimothy by your church during the twelve months before the claim arose.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Meaningful changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where appropriate we will notify churches' billing or administrative contacts. Continuing to use MyTimothy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
